Whether you're brand new to sourdough or just ready to bake a loaf with more confidence, this class is designed to guide you through the process in a simple, approachable way. This won't be a poised, polished, perfectly curated class. You'll be exposed to real-life flour on the counter. We'll ask questions along the way. There will be messy moments and a lot of fun! I am not here as an expert - I am sharing what I have learned so you can build confidence, bake bread for people you love, and find JOY in the JOurneY of it all.

All the Details

What is it?

This is a 8-day guided experience where we’ll learn and bake together, step by step, inside a private Discord community. We’ll move through the process together—from feeding a starter to baking your first loaf. The goal is confidence, not perfection. By the end, you’ll have gone through the full process and feel ready to keep baking for yourself and your family.

Do I need any sourdough experience?

Nope! This is designed for complete beginners. We’ll walk through everything starting with the lingo you might be hearing, how to use a scale, if you choose to, how to keep your drains safe, and tips for the cleanest experience.

What if I’ve failed at sourdough before?

Perfect—you’re in the right place. This is about simplifying the process and giving you the confidence to try again without overthinking it.

Where can I get starter?

You can choose to pick up active sourdough starter from me. If you already have starter, that will work too! We’ll also cover how to maintain your starter so you can keep baking for your family. *As long as I have starter, whether you are currently enrolled in a class or not, I am always willing to give starter, just let me know!

How much time does this take each day?

Most days take about 10–20 minutes, with a little more time on dough day and shape and bake day.

What if I can’t join the live sessions or I fall behind?

No problem. Everything will be posted in Discord, so you can follow along on your own schedule. Sourdough is flexible, and you’ll still have access to everything to catch up.

What is Discord? I've never used it before — is that okay?

Perfectly fine! Discord is very beginner-friendly, and I’ll guide you through how to join and use it. Think of Discord like a private group chat where everything for our class lives—daily tasks, live videos, questions, and updates.

Do I have to be on video or talk?

Not at all. You can participate as much or as little as you want. There will be opportunities to engage with voice, video, messages, and pictures, but this is your experience and you are absolutely allowed to just watch.

What supplies do I need?

You’ll get a full list ahead of time, but most items are kitchen basics. We’re keeping this simple and accessible. Top five things I would be sure to have is Unbleached all-purpose flour, salt, a large bowl, and a pan for baking.

Are you a professional baker?

No—I’m not a professional baker or sourdough expert—and this isn’t a technical masterclass. This is about creating a supportive space to learn, try, and build confidence without over complicating the process. Think guided, experience to help you get your first loaf under your belt.

Why should I take this instead of watching YouTube or TikTok?

Because you’re not doing it alone. This gives you structure, accountability, and a space to ask questions as you go—so you actually follow through.
